The Third Day

The Creation of Earth

Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

In the beginning the Self existed in a natural state of peace, and radiating only enough energy to create its virgin mind, which was also in a natural state of peace.

The place outside of the Self and within the Self’s sphere of influence (which is also referred to as the ether) had received from the Self just enough energy to slightly increase its density and to make it fluidic in its nature. This is why the Self’s mind is likened to water.

The substance of water in this world can exist in 3 different states which are; liquid, solid or gas, and whichever state the water takes is dependent on its temperature, i.e. its level of hot or cold.

When water becomes hot it is because a higher energy has been applied to it. When it becomes cold it is because its energy has been reduced.

The substance of mind is likened to the substance of water in this world.

Likewise the Self’s desire, which can produce the highest form of energy output, is likened to the Sun.

Interpretation:

And the Self said, Let the mind beneath the conscious mind be gathered together into once place for emotions to form, and let what remains be absent of fluidity, a place to store memories of what was formed in the conscious mind.

Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

And the Self called the subconscious mind Earth and the gathering together of the waters the Self called the Seas of emotions, and the Self saw that it was good.

Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

The word herb comes from Latin herba and is defined as grass, green crops, herb. The dictionary definition is; any plant with leaves seeds or flowers used for flavouring, food, medicine or perfume. In Botany herbs are; any seed bearing plant which does not have woody stems and dies down to the ground after flowering.

In this verse there is the herb yielding seed which means seed that yields herb, and there is grass which is the herb plant grown from the seed. Later in Genesis 1:30 the grass is referred to as green herb.

The fruit tree is not a herb, it has a woody stem and doesn’t die back to the ground. It also has flowers and fruit in which there are the seeds from which other trees of its kind are grown.

Metaphorically grass and the fruit tree are spiritual food in other words; knowledge.

There are many varieties of grass, including wheat and barley. There are also many varieties of fruit trees, i.e. plants with woody stems.

Think of a tree as a specific body of knowledge with its branches, it is like a book with chapters and its leaves are like pages. The fruit is the pleasure gained from knowledge, and the seeds are the seeds of new knowledge.

Interpretation:

And the Self said, Let the subconscious mind bring forth knowledge for spiritual growth, and let it generate more knowledge of its own kind.

Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Interpretation:

And the subconscious mind brought forth spiritual food; and the Self saw that it was good; (of Truth and pleasurable).

Gen 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Interpretation:

Another desire had been satisfied and it was the third day.
